Sneak Peek 3: Lina the Barbarian Rogue
Friday, 05 December 2008

Fantastical Creature Reality Show Contestant Sneak Peek #3: Lina the Barbarian Rogue

Lina is a barbarian rogue from Aleria in the Depths of Peril world. Dark leather clothing compliments her dark brown curly hair, pinned back from an oval, relaxed face. Her posture is easy going, with a hint of deadly capability hiding beneath the surface.

Interviewer: Welcome to the Pre-Show Interview, Lina. I hear barbarians are very competitive. What draws you to the Fantastical Creature Reality Show?

Lina: The money! If anyone says anything else, they’re lying.

Interviewer: If you win, what will you do with the money?

Lina: You remember Tover, one of the heroes of the Second and Third Great War? I’d really like the lightning dagger he used in those battles. Can you imagine it? I’d be unstoppable!

Interviewer: I must admit, I’m not much of a fantasy gamer, so I’m not sure exactly what a rogue is. Are you a petty criminal, like a thief?

Lina: What? No! Are you kidding me? I mean, I’m not above stealing something that’s worth my time, but that isn’t my career. My specialty relies on my ability to move about unseen, discover secrets and untangle rumors.

Interviewer: That will come in handy. If stealth is your strength then what is your weakness?

Lina: I’m not into weaknesses but if I had to pick something, it’d be that I don’t like to take things too seriously. I don’t care to over plan. Surprises are fun, so the usual stresses of this game won’t get to me much.

Interviewer: Interesting strategy. My last question for you is, why should viewers choose you?

Lina: I want it more than any of these other fools applying. I’m the whole package and more. With me on the show, there’ll never be a dull moment.

Sneak Peek 2: Nessamistis the Elf
Thursday, 04 December 2008

Fantastical Creature Reality Show Contestant Sneak Peek #2: Nessamistis the Elf

Nessamistis is one of the tall, lanky type of elves. She has long oak brown hair, often worn in a braid and aspen green eyes. Her golden-beige fine-cloth dress with a low neckline frames an intricate necklace with a sculpted hawk pendant.

Interviewer: Hello Nessamistis. What has lured you into applying for the Fantastical Creatures Reality Show?

Nessamistis: Call me Nessa. The biggest lure baiting me is the sense of adventure. There’s no other experience around like competing on a reality show.

Interviewer: No, I guess not. But aren’t you worried about vying with massive creatures who could accidentally crush you? The cyclops, the barbarian warrior or even the dwarf could accidentally injure you.

Nessamistis: Brawn isn’t everything. Surviving the island will rely on strategy tremendously, and that I have in spades. Winning competitions matters some, and I’ll hold my own against any beefy creature.

Interviewer: What is your strategy?

Nessamistis: I plan to use cunning and ingenious maneuvers through the typical social bickering that comes from being confined with people one marginally knows. Basically, if I don’t get placed on the sacrificial altar, I can’t be voted off the island.

Interviewer: That sounds like a solid plan. But what about the competitions?

Nessamistis: I can handle endurance, agility and intellect competitions. Strength is my weakness, but it doesn’t matter much if I win. That isn’t where the real game is played.

Interviewer: Why should viewers pick you?

Nessamistis: Because I will play the game at a deeper level than most of the creatures applying. It’s like chess, or more to the point, like the old gladiator days- a tournament for the masses. Everyone enjoys a smart underdog outlasting the muscle-bound fools.

Sneak Peek 1: Forest the Stalker
Wednesday, 03 December 2008

Fantastical Creature Reality Show Contestant Sneak Peek #1: Forest the Stalker

Forest is a crescent clan stalker from Aleria in the Depths of Peril world. This powerful cat-man is gray furred with black stripes, a white belly and coral blue eyes. He wears very little clothing.

Interviewer: Good morning Forest. Why do you want to be on the Fantastical Creatures Reality Show?

Forest: It isn’t about the money for me. I want to be on the show to prove myself, as a predator and a competitor.

Interviewer: As a predator? Are you planning to eat someone on the island?

Forest: Well, not exactly planning it, but you know, finding food is part of surviving.

Interviewer: What things on the island might cause you problems?

Forest: My biggest concern is water events. I know some cats like water, but not me. I’ll be dead weight in those events, of which I hope there won’t be many. I make up for it in climbing though. I’m an excellent climber.

Interviewer: I’ve heard Crescent Clan Stalkers don’t like elves. Did you know there might be an elf on the island? What do you think about being teammates with an elf?

Forest: To be honest, I can’t imagine it. Elves are weak and boring. I can’t imagine the viewers voting one onto the island.

Interviewer: Why should viewers vote you onto the island?

Forest: Simple. I’m fun to watch. I’ll bring the competitive spirit to the game and probably rile up a lot of the contestants. Think of them as my mice to play with, delicious fun for me and you, torture for them.
