Since I've signed up for interesting news on My Yahoo, I've learned about many cool things going on in the world. The most interesting item I've read about is the coming end of a nearby star that won't finish its death in a black hole. It will be a huge patch of light, bright enough to read by at night! When will this happen? Any day now! It could be tomorrow or it could be in 50,000 years.  Oh, yeah, and it will only be visible in the southern hemisphere.

I would love to see it, but "soon" in star terms isn't soon enough for me. I don't expect to live long enough (heck, I'll be happy to see 2064). Still... it leaves me itching to write a story in a world with this new light source!
