General rules

In general, we will do our best to work with you to add your Thing into the game and keep it, as is, forever.

  • If something is rejected, you will be able to revise, and submit again. You will be able to do this a reasonable number of times if needed.
  • If you have a good, common sense reason to break a guideline, I might let you do it. For example, if you design an item called Mage Hat, I might allow a cast time modifier on it even though it is not generally allowed on helmets.
  • You give us the right to use the submitted material forever and with no payment of any kind to you.
  • Even if accepted and added to the game, it is possible that we will have to revise it later due to complaints, we change our minds about how it fits, or for balance reasons.

Naming and description rules
  • Has to fit with the theme of the game (medieval, fantasy) - no Fred "Gunslinger"
  • No age inappropriate stuff (our games are basically rated Teen)
  • Can't be a copyright/trademark problem - no Frodo, Gandalf, Dumbledore, etc. If it is something that has been used many places and/or more generic, like Blade, that's fine.
  • It has to have normal capitalization and punctuation - no BlAde, BLade, BlaDe, etc.
  • I have to actually like it or at least be neutral about it :)
  • I'm sure I'll add to this list as I reject some names/descriptions
