Time to be a Drox Operative (3 hours so far)
Some feedbacks: - intro is cool, not perfect, but good. As other requested, a better syncro between voice and music in last part is good. For not english speaker, subtitles? - first of all, I'm a dop, kivi and dins player.. but a quickstart option could help newcormers: just click and start a game as human, with only name insert required - at first enemy attack/encounter, a tip on tutorial for shipyard (or I've missed that?) - gravity well are really cool, there are wepons to build some little black hole and stop moving enemies? - my first quest from human was to go to another start system and kill a named monster.. but no clue for how to make trip. My suggestion is to have first quest in another start system as part of tutorial quest, use a marker on map for stargates Random thoughts: - it's cool - I need more weapon - too much time (3 hours) with only humans.. it's boring after a bit.. other races doesn't scout around in human space? - how to win ? It's not clear, in Dop you have victory conditions.. but here? more feedback soon |
after some hours:
It's vital to get most of jump gate activated as soon is possible, to solve quest fast and get things done. Now humans dominate galaxy and try to kill legions :D I'm supporting humans, so everytime I found some legions around a planet, I die.. Another thing: teleport anomalies are too much |

1 )add some rare components, get only commons for now (4 hours into game) 2) hire crew also on planets (there are recruit quests like in dop ?) 3) time based quests.. show somewhere a counter for that sort of quests |

A long run with human + dryads + drox vs lithosoid .. and everyone hates lithosoid thanks to me :D A lot of subraces emerges.. really cool!! I like it! Some bugs/ideas: - a message said "Forpin build a gate".. what is Forpin ? A monster? Where is build this gate? What is a gate? I don't know! - crew member is dead and you can repair/heal it ? :-/ permadeath option for crew members? - saw a little comet passing into sun.. maybe you can avoid this ? - bug: when you change your power reactor, and you need a lot of power, bar go out of the screen - bug: in war against lithosoid, I saw a system with lithosoid color (yellow) on title and this is okay, but enemy planet (last one!!) I wasn't able to saw it, even if I already explored it - bug/idea: to avoid too much near planets in a system and systems too near in galactic view, you can take a look to this and here for an implementation it's simple and easy to use to generate better galaxies and systems - it's possible to go from map to relation screen? - on quest screen can you add a button to go to relation screen? - in a dimensional pocket I've found a derelic fringe ship.. on the wormhole: it's difficult to select when is too near and more in general why so small size dimensional pocket? A side note: on level 12 game is interesting! You can influence races, have understood main mechanics and more important there are good drops :D |
