Sound failed to initialize
 

The sound on this computer does not work, but most games allow me to load and play without sound. Depths of Peril crashes on load though.

Is there any work around allowing me to play without sound?

You can open up your user.cfg file and change s_initSound to 0 to turn off the sound.
