I agree and I think this is still the weakest part of the Soldak formula, but presumably this hardcore game will have to change it heavily.

This is getting really off-topic, but I heartily recommend...

I think referring to Din in the title is good since it'll let people who liked Din's Curse find the game more easily, but on the other hand, sequels titles sound uninspired. I like the 'Children of...

I would caution regarding the hereditary mechanics: every game I've seen with them ultimately suffered from them.

Since you're going in a hardcore direction, I think a rogue-lite is a great idea....

How about an edit of both blurbs?

The fierce fighting naga clan, Fang, excels at both bravado and warrior skills. Their true talent, however, lies in the hidden arts of subterfuge and espionage....

What you can do is populate bosses when the game starts up, using a unique seed (most random number libraries let you save and load the random number generator). These would be the bosses that stay...

Some more thoughts:

- Rather than having fixed levels for monsters as you did in previous games, have the game randomly choose 4-5 races per level + a few random stragglers from other races. A huge...

Well, if there's a hot lava level as there is in Din's, it would make sense that that would have an impact on some monsters as well, I think.

1. Gate the skills somehow. The concept of completely open skill trees mean that many skills won't even be tried, or...
