The pockets work, except a few at level 100 that are empty and just say secret found. However finding the RIGHT ONE with the boss inside is impossible when you don't even get what system it is in.

Ive tried most races, and i have to agree, the bonuses vary, but fringe is one of the best when it comes to slots simply because everyone needs a powerplant.

Beams are quite good too if you use a macro to push the buttons for you.

Pushing 5 buttons every 0.75 seconds will get annoying fast otherwise.

There is a missile (shock missile) that has AOE, 75 radius (compared to mines 125). But the damage on those are waaaay lower than other missiles.

If you are refering to the offensive dampening field, you can see the stats when its active on an oponent, just activate it, then pause when you are close to an enemy, should apply a 1 second debuff...

Actually there are no race specific modules, just some that are low level only for some races. Fighterbays are for everyone, but you wont find level 1 of these anywhere else than on level up modules...
