Default Drox Operative goes Alpha

Notified of a new build on Friday afternoon (March 9), I updated and, as usual, started the game to make sure everything was working. When the main screen came up, there was the lovely word, "Alpha".

That's fantastic, and I really think Beta might not be too far off. The game seems really solid. There's still a lot to do, and there can always be unforeseen problems; but I'm pretty confident in what I've seen and while testing the game.

BTW, it's really satisfying to drop a mine while being chased and watch the chasing ship erupt in an explosion.

This might be the perfect occasion to show off some more screenshots, don't you think?

I'm eagerly anticipating the beta; it's been awhile since I've played a game with my notepad at the ready.

An "Alpha Preview" would be great! Maybe it is getting close to time for that dev video idea that was batted around a few weeks ago?

Great to see the game progressing. Best of luck in the testing and balancing days ahead.

I'd say all of the above are true.
