Ego weapon leveling not working

I've been using a couple of weapons for quite awhile, and they haven't leveled up at all. It's as if my ego weapon leveling isn't working. Below you'll see a couple of pictures. I've been using them only for quite awhile, and nothing else.

Below is an example of one weapon I've been using. It shows no signs of leveling up at all. I have the latest patched game.

Do I not have the demon war addon? I'm checking now.

Update: I didn't know I had to pay additionally for the demon war bit. I guess I have to do that... sigh.

Well, I got the new addon, demon war, and tried to level up an ego weapon.
It never seemed to level up, so I kind of gave up on them.

The Demon War addon is what allows Ego weapons to level up AFAIK, so you're on the right track.

The chance of ego weapons upgrading is very low, though. In fact, it's probably a little too low. You can look for MinEgoWeaponLevelChance in the expansion file systems2.gdb and increase it a little. Right now it's at 0.001, which is 1/1000 (I guess you have 1 chance in 1000 hits). I'll probably increase it a little for my mod. You can try making it 0.003, which is 1 in 300 hits.
