What do I do with treasure maps that I find?

Hi,

I tried searching but like most forums when I type in Treasure Map, the forum tells me that map is too small of a word, so...

Just bought the game (thanks soldak for a great game thus far, the demo made me buy your great game), and went into the first dungeon level and found about 3 treasure maps.

Are they of any real use, like lead me to find treasure, or are they simply items to be sold to a vendor for a little cash?

Right click on the treasure map. It will start a quest and tell you where some hidden treasure is.

But only if you have a 'quest' slot free. Otherwise it stays in inventory or disappears muttering something about 'gibberish'.
