I hope everyone has a nice holiday. We actually got snow today which is rare for those of us in Texas.

Actually that was the 2nd time that we have gotten snow this year and it's been below freezing a lot. For Texas, it has seemed really cold compared to normal.

Not to be nitpicky or anything, but the global warming theory actually states that more extreme weather becomes increasingly common. That means both warm and cold ends of the spectrum . So expect loads more snow in Texas.

And no, I am not interested in starting any debate about the merits of the global warming theories .

Oh, and happy new year!

Texas winters are often mild. Usually, we may get snow once or twice a year. This winter has been pretty cold... which doesn't seem fair after such a hot summer. (Oh, and all the summers are hot!)
