Thanks for the offer, Delve, but I'd rather get to level 25 on easy using my normal play style. I eventually beat the normal difficulties of D1, D2, Sacred and and HG:L doing self-enforced hardcore, and so there's some chance I'll do it here. (OTOH, I never did see the Amulet of Yendor in Rogue. I may have in Nethack.)

Man, I've never gotten past about the 5th level in most Roguelikes. Doom the Roguelike being the most recent exception.

Note that I define 'roguelike' rather strictly.

I kinda see DoP as continuing the traditions of roguelikes, Diablo itself was inspired by NetHack. Nothing wrong with that.

I define roguelike as the more hardcore, keyboard entry, primitive graphic games. If you loosen that definition a little to include games like Diablo, DoP, Fastcrawl, etc, then I'm not that bad at them.

Dwarvish Priest and Hurthling Bard.

That's in about 6 years of playing....
