Lack of Weapons

So I have two lvl 60+ characters. Both have been using the same weapons for many levels (One is using the same staff since level 20ish the other a 2 handed axe since his mid 30's). They have reached a point where it's becoming a struggle to continue because of this. One toon has close to 400 magic find as he constantly drinks MF pots. He hasn't found diddly. What's the deal? Are there any good weapons at these levels?

That happens occasionally. I don't think it's a lack of weapons at any specific level. It's just random bad luck (or random good luck when you were a lower level).

Have you also tried looking at what the vendor has for sale? I don't know about level 60 but at lower levels (up to 26 now) I've found plenty of weapon upgrades at the vendors.

You can try to gamble for them too, but the gambler always seems to die fairly early in a new town.

Thanks for the replies. Yeah I am constantly vendoring, and from what I have read gambling is not very good in this game. Think I'll have to make a new toon that doesn't rely on weapon DPS. Necro/Ice mage maybe...

I haven't gotten a character to 40 yet, as I keep making new ones. But aren't there decent rep rewards that are sometimes weapons?

I have noticed that the best ones my level 25 characters have mostly were found by my level 37 rogue.

Maybe some multiplayer trading would be a good idea?
