![]() I heard your character must be the most powerful guy in the covenant but my situation is different..
My very first recruit is a ROGUE with no extra bonus in her.. Our current state is we are now at level 40.. Since the time I found her, she does HUNDREDS of damage above me.. Im a warrior, my blows only reach 400-900 and thats a skill.. She easily exceeds the 700 mark with a single non skill hit! She eliminates all boss monsters I come upon!! Regarding defense, she is more of a survivor than I am! My armor is very tough with 70-100+ each body part.. She has very less armor but has a 1000+ defense! Her dodge rate is 90+ percent! A very pathetic scene of me is when we fight the last boss of the story mode, she single handedly fought the boss while I sit at the side crying and fighting the death knights, Its like I am the sidekick ![]() ![]() Because of her super powerful criticals and blinding speed, she is the underdog ![]() ![]() Is it normal that rogue buddies tend to be more powerful than you? |

![]() That's hilarious. Yeah, I've been noticing a little bit of that also; that rogues can end up doing ridiculous and surprising amounts of damage with even the most yard-sale-grade equipment. I've never personally seen it get as bad as what you're describing however....

![]() four the 5th time, rouge recruits deal unreasonable amounts of damage with stealth.

![]() Stealth confuses the issue quite a bit. Pause in the middle of a fight some time after her stealth bonus has worn off and then see what her damage is like. Rogues with stealth, do a ton of damage at the beginning, but then it drops a lot after the effect wears off.

![]() I've tested this theory of yours, its rather...interesting.
I started anew with a rogue, and took a rogue companion. By level 30 I still only did 3-50 dmg depending on skill usage, while my partner is cracking 300dmg a hit. Neither of us have stealth as skill. So, deciding to play around with it, i took advantage of the many members in a party mod and now have a full party of rogue's. I have diverted most of my skills towards protection and defense, with points crammed into dexterity and vitality. I have to say, I haven't died since. I also put 1 level in stealth, and I barely ever exit it. I so enjoy being Overlord and pointing my minions in the direction of what they are supposed to kill ^_^ The longest survival time for a monster, which happens to be the strongest fought, is 14 seconds. I'm slowly swapping out rogue's without stealth to rogue's with stealth. And its SO enjoyable ^_^ Move in, see them swarm and my enjoy the slow-motion from screen lag. As enemies splatter merrily all about. At which point I pet my minions and pick up all the loot. I was thinking of redoing this with the priest to heal them after prolonged bales. But the survival rate is rather low. All my items are magic and item find boosters, all my relics are HP regens. The gear of my minions tends to be artifact or unique, or whatever nummy upgrade i can find for them. All in all, the theory of party rogue's are more powerful then you, is most definetly proven. Time to start looking into modding and seeing if I cant make some sort of overlord mod where skills help your party members. |

![]() I told people this in my introductory, but i'm the "overlord" type player.
Although not a fan of necromancy or summon type classes oddly enough. If i could, i would want to find the file that holds my helpers and rename them , respectively, minion 1-6. Maybe give em all stealth in the process so i dont have to wait days before a nice rogue comes along to recruit. Don't suppose you know where that file hides? [Or if you do explain to me how to make a proper backup on a mac if you please.] And its no longer a theory, i walk through any area and the minions go BECAUSE HE TOLD US TOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!! ^_^ |

![]() Your recruit's names are most likely in your character file. I've no idea where or how they're encoded into the file, but you'll need a hex editor to change them.
