Default Multiplayer Feedback

I just spent about 4 hours playing coop with my wife. She played a conjurer and I played a Ice Mage/Healer. We got to character level 9 and just completed the first town.

We had a blast. It may be some of the best multiplayer gaming we have ever done.

We had a few minor issues that I'll list...

1. My wife had trouble finding the 'points remaining' when assigning points to her character. Maybe a different color or a bold font might help.

2. I was playing a healer and needed to target party members often. From other games I had gotten used to using the F1-F4 keys to target party members. I think this is standard in most MMOG's now. It would help in Din's as well.

3. A bag disappeared from my shared stash. I don't know which one of you developers was getting into my stash, but you stole my bag.

4. Finding teammates on the minimap could be improved by adding arrow indicators for when teammate is off of the immediate minimap area. It would be nice to find teammates that are far off without having to stop to open the map.

5. There was a NPC we were sent to rescue. My AOE killed her. That isn't bad by itself, but my AOE's don't hurt townsfolk. It was inconsistent between the two. I would like it if the NPC in the dungeon weren't able to take friendly damage. Its difficult enough to successfully rescue people.

6. My wife's Ball Lightning and my Ice Storm quit working for a while. No graphic, no damage, but I think there was a little sound effect when it started.

7. My wife's top tier demon pet (forget the name of it) didn't seem aggressive enough. Maybe it was the narrow coridors preventing it from getting into the action. I'm not sure, but it wasn't very impressive for a top tier skill.

Default Another town down

My wife and I are now level 12. We start towns a couple levels below us but we might be fine on even level difficulty. I think we've only had one death so far. We've had enough close calls that its been challenging and enjoyable.

There have been a couple bugs...

1. Occasionally the client player will get stuck trying to join a game. I'm playing the server and I see her join, but on her computer she is hung up at "waiting for server to create world". It will happen all the time after it starts doing this. When I exit and restart the game and then create a new local game everything is fine. Easy work-around but there is still a bug of some sort.

2. My wife fell down from dungeon level 1 to level 3. I'm not sure if it was a pit trap or not, but it was two levels. Once she got there, the level was completely empty. No gates, stairs, MOBs or anything else. She had no way to leave so we had to start a new town.

3. We successfully completed an escort that wanted to be taken through two levels! Good times! We rescued a few people too. More good times!

4. We only had a couple town attacks and had no problem getting to town to defend it. Losing the occasional townsperson and replacing them from a quest is great.

5. Ball Lightning and Raise Dead are the only pet skills that seems to be worth using. The others aren't aggressive enough. We tried some skeletons on this play session and they weren't very effective.

6. Prayer is awesome. I love the way it works. I forget to activate it a lot (my fault), but I like how its used during downtime.

7. Ice Prison is starting to get used more often lately. I like the way it works. Its kind of strange that I don't want to put points into it since there are drawbacks to a longer duration. Its the only skill I can think of that has drawbacks to ranking it up.

The same bug happened for us (2 Player, LAN), too, now and then. The joining player can hit "Cancel" but still seems to be in time out. After a time the textwindow appears for a moment. Until this text window appears the joining player can no longer see the server even after hitting "Refresh list".

While this happens for the server the joining player is shown as in the game, both in the Multiplayericon (right up at the screen) and by the text join message.
