Default game resolution with external monitor

This was with the Drox Operative Demo.

I have a Lenovo x230 (intel HD4000) with an external monitor. The laptop display has a resolution of 1366x768 the external monitor has 2560x1440. When I run the game the max resolution available to select in the options is 1366x768. If I select fullscreen it switches to fullscreen for displaying, but the mouse input is still mapped to the 1366x768 area (I have to depend on button highlighting to guide mouse movement).

The system is running Debian jessie/testing with Mesa-10.1.

Any tips? Thanks.

Default some progress...

By editing ~/.local/DroxOperativeDemo/User/user.cfg and changing r_width and r_height I can make the window's dimensions/resolution larger. But when switching to fullscreen, it still maps the screen to the smaller laptop screen.

This might be workable with it windowed as I can make it fullscreen manually that way. But I'd still like to get it working in normal fullscreen mode if possible.

I don't know if this will work for you (not sure about the mouse problem), but you might try it from within the game. Enable the console (if necessary) on the Game Options screen - bottom right. After switching to the higher rez screen, from the game console (~), type:

r_width X (enter)
r_height Y (enter)
vidRestart (enter)

where X = 2560 & Y = 1440 or choose the resolutions you want.
