Default Covenant priest bug?

I just remembered a DOP bug....

When I took on a priest covenant member, and I have 4 guardians, and 4 covenant members in my HQ, my lifestone started mysteriously getting used up! Turns out a member priest had hardiness skill and kept buffing the critters and folks in the HQ, including me and my adventuring companion when we stopped into HQ. This creates a HP deficit the game treats as damage, the critters don't usually use the lifestone but the covenant members do. I had to take the offending priest out because it got my lifestone down as low as it could go. Couldn't they renew the spell before it wears out?

This is really kind of an illusion. What happens is when the priest casts the hardiness the lifestone's max health goes up because its max health is related to the max health of your covenant's members. However, its current health doesn't change either direction. Basically it looks like it is being damaged, but it is not.

Well, that may be true, but that's not what I mean. The stone is being "damaged" (used, rather) when people HEAL at it. i.e. all my covenant members now have a larger Max HP, but they think they're hurt because their HP bar isn't full. So they heal at the stone. So all the time I'm in range -- in town -- so that they're active, they're buffing & healing, buffing & healing.... so the stone power starts dropping.... thank goodness the guardian pets don't use the lifestone too! I'd walk in and wonder why the pets all looked hurt, when we hadn't been attacked. I had no idea what was going on. I couldn't get the pets to heal....

So yes, the stone's effective power *potential* may go up, and that has an effect, but I think it's being drained because people are using it to heal. Either asking the offending priest to take a hike, or taking them adventuring helps -- the stone then can heal itself per normal. Otherwise the stone has no time to heal -- and the more powerful the priest the worse this gets (because they buff vitality even higher, so there's more HP for the covenent members to heal... vicious cycle ensues)! Your pets look like someone took them down to 1/2 their HP, and your covenant members are killing your lifestone. Eventually your lifestone is at 25% (or was it 15%?) and stays there.

But it's a great buff, and you don't want to lose the priest just because of this mischief going on at home base.

Healing shouldn't change your lifestone level, just resurrecting.
