Shared Life and Vanguard Traits Allies = Minions?

Do Minions like summoned skrees and skeletons count as allies for the Shared Life and Vanguard traits?

I don't know how those traits work and don't have those traits yet (in part because I don't know how they work, and I don't want to invest towards getting them without knowing how they work) so I don't really have any thoughts on them at the moment.

I am kinda curious how the shared life trait would work if you're in your own clan village though. Do you share your life with every single clan member around? If you die, does EVERYONE die? (total clan instakill once the shared life pool runs out)

And of course, I don't know if it works with minions or not.
