I will probably port Din's Curse to Linux.

Mint uses the same repos as Ubuntu, so the package is there, although this is not the full implentation of s3tc (legal reasons), full (and thus faster) one is in package libtxc-dxtn0 but it is not in main repos it's in PPA: xorg-edgers

I was able to play the game with no problems, flying around etc. Obviously did not play for a long time yet, but so far absolutely no stability issues.

Oh, and - wonderful news about Din's Curse, that's probably my favourite game so far

Ok, I'm pretty sure I've fixed the second half of the problem, so this should be fixed whenever I do another build of the demo. This is not a problem that happens in the full game (it's caused by file limitations of the demo).

Oh, btw, is your Mint 32 or 64 bit?

This one is 32bit as my laptop has ony 2GB of RAM

I ran Drox Operative this morning really quick. Here are my results...

Success:
Linux Mint 16 32-bit (based on Ubuntu 13.10 Saucey)
GeForce 550 Ti
Nvidia 319 drivers

Failed:
Chromebook ChrUbuntu (based on Ubuntu 12.10)
Intel HD 2000
Intel Drivers

No surprise the Intel HD 2000 GPU failed. The game actually launched but all I could see are sprites with "X"
Dins Curse doesn't run either in PlayOnLinux.

The next version of the demo might fix the sprites with "X" issue.

Is there a way to show the debug or an output to see why Intel HD is getting these errors?
I have a feeling is a shader issue. That HD 2000 doesn't support shader 2.0 I think

You can look in ~/.local/DroxOperativeDemo/User/log.txt to see more of what is going on.

I just uploaded a new version of the demo though. Can you grab the latest version of the demo and see if it works on your Chromebook?
