![]() Understood under normal circumstances, but i'm not exactly running a bad system. I have a fairly standard but nice raid array. Running 2 gig of 800mhz ram, an AMD Phenom 9600, motherboard is an ASUS M2N SLI, etc. It's not worth wetting your pants over, but certainly above and beyond the system reqs for this game.
The system is clean and runs everything perfectly, except I guess the audio for Soldak games, <shrug>. |

![]() It's built into my motherboard. So I guess if you look up Asus M2N SLI you'll get it. Control panel, hardware doesn't give it anything more specific than "legacy" audio device.

However, as I just checked this I had no hover problems in the interface, so it may have been a program running in the background giving me a delay--my NAV will do that sometimes. I'll now try to play the rest of the beta and get back if anything pops up. |

![]() Have you tried changing the sound device in the sound options?

![]() So far, I'm having a lot of fun.
I would like to see the DoP style of saving implemented, though, because I spend a lot of time poking around trying to find the secrets, so I end up spending much longer on levels than normal (especially when I go back through to find stuff I missed). I like DoP saving because you can't (without copying and pasting files), exploit the save/reload. So I would suggest implementing that saving style.

![]() I'm not really against saves for Kivi. I'm not sure how I would present them UI wise in the game though without causing confusion.

![]() DO NOT DO SAVES. It was the biggest exploit in DoP. Get surrounded and know you're going to die and you don't have time to pop a portal? NO PROBLEM. Just hit escape and hit "save and exit" and while you lose your current quest progress, you don't die.
In all seriousness, the levels aren't THAT long where saves are really that necessary. |

![]() I have to agree about the NO SAVES. I'm assuming the levels are intended to be fast-playing, tense, etc. That's what I will be designing for certain. 15-45 minute adventures. There really isn't a need in my mind to allow for saves ... play for a while and either beat the adventure/scenario or try again. But that's just an opinion among many.
