Default Poison

One thing I noticed in DC is that poison mushrooms don't scale well with levels. At low levels, poison will easily kill a player, but at high levels, they just add more noise to the chaos.

True, but you still want to avoid poison traps. Those things can annihilate me even at high levels.

On a somewhat related note, it'd be nice to see a sort of "Poison Mastery" skill at some point. We have one for each of the other three elements but nothing for poison. Maybe something to look out for in a future class...

Maybe instead of scaling the mushrooms (if it's difficult to do) we could have 3-4 sizes of mushrooms, with each successive size causing more damage. Higher level towns will have the bigger mushrooms.

That would be cool, a venomancer if you will. The demon hunter is the twohanded guy, the rogue is the stealthy warrior, the warrior can do anything, ranger is the ranged weapon guy, who's the onehanded weapon master and who is the staff weapon master?

I wouldn't want the mushrooms to get any bigger. It's hard to avoid them in hallways as it is. Maybe change the color?

But then Shadow would have to make an Italian plumber monster that goes around kicking the mushrooms.

Took me a minute.

Or he could just make a pair of unique imps (called Mario and Luigi) who kick mushrooms in addition to turning off lamps.

I don't know, people. I think just simple damage scaling will be sufficient
