Default Mouse calibration is way off

I just bought the game from Steam for OSX and it is unplayable at the moment. It seems that the mouse pointer is out of calibration. I have to place the point about 2 inches above and 2 inches to the left of the object I want to click on. I am using a wired mouse hooked into my MacBook Pro (Core i5).

I use this mouse for all of my graphics work in photoshop, illustrator, indesign, bridge, fireworks, flash and dreamweaver with no issue. It works fine for Diablo 3 and Torchlight so I am thinking this issue is with this particular game.

I'd appreciate any advice as to how to fix this. Barring that, is there any way I can get my money back if I can get this game to work? I would rather keep the game. It looks fun but if I cannot play it due to reasons beyond my control, I would like to get my 15 bucks back (I bought the xpac too).

Thanks in advance for any help.

That's strange. One thing you could try is to play in a window instead of fullscreen.

Just for reference, I'm experiencing the same thing with both the built-in trackpad and Magic Mouse. OS X 10.8.5 on a Mid-2012 MBP 15". It worked on my previous 13" Macbook (Snow Leopard), but it's off on my new one as Tom described.

I, too, experience this issue. My machine is a Macbook pro running OSX 10.9.1.
This makes the game unplayable and I just bought it (via steam)!

How do you run in windowed mode?

Open the file /Users/YOUR USER NAME/Library/Application Support/DroxOperative/User/user.cfg and change the value for r_fullscreen to 0. I believe Library is a hidden directory btw.

In Advanced Graphic options, try turning off hardware cursor.
