Default Fired my Priestess - Lifestone Draining

Been playing about a week now, lurking on the forum. Have/had a problem, looking for advice.

When I have a priestess recruit with the vitality buff (forgot the name of the skill), my covenant lifestone is almost always below 75% and my house guards' health is also impaired (took me a while to figure out what was causing the lifestone drain). Seems she waits til the buff leaves to recast on other recruits, then they drain lifestone rebuilding health to 100%.

Is there a way to have a priest with this buff that won't drain the lifestone? Thanks in advance to any/all respondees.

The vitality buff doesn't damage the lifestone, it just makes the bar longer without increasing the current HP. Then the buff drops and the lifestone resets to the "new" max health.

You're not the first person to ask about that.

Yeah, please don't feel bad about that, it's a pretty common misperception. I've actually many times thought about changing how the lifestone health gets calculated. It's just too confusing in general.
