Haven't played enough to judge the difficulty spike being talked about, but coming back to playing Zombasite again, I wish there was a way to have primary mouse click instead need a hold click "Drag and Drop" style, when moving/rearranging items or anything else. The amount of clicking needed normally feels kind of off or dated to me at least..

I had just bought for the big sale at GOG'
Now I remember why I had quit Din'sCurse, so then not buying Zombasite.
It was not only for the no dualwield, and the uneasy hybrid classes:
I destroyed 2 characters that I had to rebuild from the start, for the skills are idiotly restricted and not well warned, so after buying 2 times 5 levels in, I discover it was useless. I wondered why the game became so difficult..
So, bored again, maybe bye again at next game on big sale.

@Vifarc

"It was not only for the no dualwield, and the uneasy hybrid classes:"

Valid complaint.

"I destroyed 2 characters that I had to rebuild from the start, for the skills are idiotly restricted and not well warned, so after buying 2 times 5 levels in, I discover it was useless. I wondered why the game became so difficult.."

Not well warned? Bro. You have to be kidding, right?

All of the skills in the game fit the theme of a class.

A warrior uses swords. An archer uses bows. A mage uses wands.

I want to give you credit that perhaps Demon Hunter and Bard are non-intuitive, but if you just look at the top of the sub-classes, there are literally PICTURES of the items you can use.

There are even 'x' marks on the items that you can't use, to further reinforce what you can and can't use.

How did you misunderstand this system? I'm genuinely curious what interaction behaved unexpectedly for you and what you found 'not well warned'.

I play 'heavy ranger' in games, so I choose Hunter+Weaponmaster, even it is weak, and I don't like traps and magic (I mean magic skills, I like magic weapons), so I have little choice for skills.
1st I put skill points in Split Projectiles, but I understood late it is only for magic skills.
2nd I was happy to put so many sp in Accuracy, but I understood late it doesn't work with weapons too but with magic skills.
So, really, I have little to play, it's a game where almost no skill fits my way.
I wasn't very bewaring, for these were the few skills I thought I could use, so I couldn't believe even those were useless for me.
So, bye again, waiting for freedom in the game.

In EverQuest2 mmo, I am the only one tank Ranger! of this game (it parts come from EQ1), even one time the guild leader asked me to tank for a while in a raid where the MT was down. It's 'possible' for the AAs, alternate advancements, points where instead of going best archer, I put all in defense. Those AAs are the freedom of the game.
Vifarc Cordelibre (french Speedybow Freestring), woodelf ranger, archer in the way that's his the best in crafting bow&arrows.

Too, in 1Quest I play always the same rogue elf: bow, sword and dagger, going ranger. The freedom of the game comes from the very few requirments on weapons&armors and on classes.

"Din'sCurse" is like Rift mmo, it has a false freedom, only the appearance. You have many choices, but you're compelled to play in some way, so the choices mean nothing.

"1st I put skill points in Split Projectiles, but I understood late it is only for magic skills."

Literal Description of the skill: "Works on any magic, self-guiding projectile."

You can't blame the game because you didn't read the skill's tooltip. That's really unfair to Soldak Games.

"2nd I was happy to put so many sp in Accuracy, but I understood late it doesn't work with weapons too but with magic skills."

Accuracy works with weapons, unless it was broken in a patch that I and/or Soldak Games is unaware of. The description is: "Works on any non-basic attack", so if it isn't doing that, then it's bugged.

Semi-related: One thing that kind of sucks about the skill is there is no 'final chance to hit' calculation, so you can't ever tell its effect since it only works on non-basic attacks. This is similar to other skills like berserk, where they grant accuracy, but you can't inspect its final chance to hit.

It may be nice to have such calculations added to the tooltips of skills. Or, for a new screen to be added ala Path of Exile, where you can view the final calculations for skills. Though, that would probably be something added in Din's Legacy first before Zombasite.

I mention all this because maybe you didn't think it was having an impact on a given skill when it actually was? Just food for thought.

Yes, it does not say it works only with magic, so, with the so few skills I could already use, I couldn't imagine it wasn't working with non-magic.

Accuracy works with weapons. Again, the description is: "Works on any non-basic attack". So, it definitely should work with ALL attack skills
Yes, but that's what I say: it does not work with weapons, but with skills using some weapon.

So, the game prevents me from playing. Final, I can only use ArmsMastery for the combat. But maybe I didn't read well and it's useless too.

I don't care about the numbers, I was confident in the dev. I play as a role game, that's why I see the titles 1st, don't enter in details (and don't read enough the little texts).

The description is perfectly reasonable. Expecting it to behave differently than stated is your assumption, something you really can't fault the dev for.

Also, most things in this world are described by what they do, not what they don't do.

"Yes, but that's what I say: it does not work with weapons, but with skills using some weapon."

Ok, well submit feedback to request it to be changed? It's working as intended. Again, you can't blame the dev for it not working as you assumed it would, especially when that assumption differs from its description.

"I don't care about the numbers, I was confident in the dev. I play as a role game, that's why I see the titles 1st, don't enter in details (and don't read enough the little texts)."

So, you think it's the developers fault that you refuse to read subtext and make assumptions about the behavior of skills?

Shame. Really a shame. At least you're honest about it though, lol.

Yes, the game is not for me, the dev is responsible that I couldn't imagine I'll use so few skills. But that's normal, all games can't be for everybody. I had forbidden this that's why I was coming back again here since years.
It's an excellent game for its gamers, I don't say it's a bad game per itself, I explain why it's not for me.
Uninstalled, but I already played 17h, somewhat lost (by my fault, if I had a better memory..).
