Default No Zombies Option vs. Player Can't Be Infected Mod

What is the difference between checking "No Zombies" at world creation, and simply turning off the option for the player to be infected through the game files?

I guess turning off player infection means your clan members can still be infected (whereas in a "No Zombies" game they can't). Is there anything else? Do fewer monsters appear when you check the "No Zombies" option because the zombie monsters aren't seeded?

Follow up question: What happens to Zombie Threat when you create a game with the "No Zombies" option checked?

If No Undead is ticked (at least from what I can tell),while some undead (drastically reduced) can spawn, no infections can occur, zombie threat will never increase above 0, even if there's monsters and other quests that'd normally up it, and mutations won't apply to any zombie monsters that do spawn.

I believe Sharpoint has everything correct. The game will still spawn the same number of monsters as usual with zombies turned off, they just won't be zombies.
