Generally, by the time I get Gouge and Precise Strike off twice Slice is coming back online and I get to start over immediately. If I find myself building up excess momentum I blow it off on Charged Strike, which is momentum intensive but very handy in a fight with spawning enemies.

The only time this has a serious problem is when I'm swarmed by beasties that die before I can get my momentum built up to keep the cycle going. Then I'm left waiting for Slice to come back before I can start over.

Yeah, Cilgio has power drain, so forget about that.

yes, it affects momentum too, IIRC

Momentum is the rogue form of power, so, yeah. Unless you can keep him pawned off on a partner for a while.
Alternately you can use any DoT attack you have available to whittle down his HPs. Rogues have one or two, plus weapon poison and or fire. It might also be worth trying to get several poison clouds going on his zombies using Deathblow, if you can pull that off. That power drain is what gets you, which is why I like ranged attackers.

I recommend you bringing a ROGUE partner.. Rogues have high dodge rate and HIgh damage range.. On my experience, I let my partner solo up with all the BOSSES with "RETURN damage" buffed upon them and when my partner dies I summon a portal and return home.. Wait for your partner and attack again.. You will personally take care of the summoned creeps while SHE slowly paves CIGLIO.. Rinse and Repeat!! I hope it works for you
