ummm
im not sure if its a bug or what or if its ment to be lyk that but when ur a mage u can attack the enemies lifestone with spells even when ur not at war with them. ive only ever done it with petrify and the lighting thing but they declare war on you as soon as u do it. just tellin u incase it helps.
