Default How does "Overpower" work?

I've got a point in "parry" and 2 points in "overpower," but I'm not sure how the latter works. Supposedly, it can only be used after you've successfully parried or blocked. I'm assuming it's an active rage-based attack, even though it's placed in the "defensive" category.

My question: How exactly do you orchestrate an "overpower" attack. Do I just keep hitting "3" (the number I've assigned it) when attacking in the hope that I'll parry and it'll work?

Thanks for any help with this.

If you parry or block an attack overpower will be available to use for a few seconds after that (only once though). When this happens the overpower icon should brighten up to show that it can be used and you should also get the icon near the player as a hint that it can be used. During this time, if you hit your hotkey (3 in this case) it should perform the overpower move.
