Default Wind traps?

I've noticed that whenever I trigger a wind trap, it just plays a sound and nothing else appears to happen. What exactly is a wind trap supposed to do?

I think it alerts all surrounding monsters to your presence, even those that can't see you yet. Just like in real life.

I thought that was what alarm traps were for?

Sorry, I thought those were the ones you referred to.

What does a "Wind" trap look like, then? Can't think of coming across any kind of trap specifically called a "Wind Trap"...

Darned if I know. I usually see it as a trap type listed on a chest I'm about to smash. If there's a floor version of it, I'm not sure which one it is.

They are pretty harmless. I think they can blow out torches and shut doors and that's about it.

I'll keep my eyes peeled for these traps; I want to see them in action!

Aha! Since I tend to smash/explode most doors, I guess I wouldn't notice the door shutting thing, and I usually suspect monsters of messing with the torches.

I might have to add some small effect so people know when they go off at least.

And while we're on the topic, what does the "Doors" trap type do?
