Default Din beta patch 1.028

Beta Patch 1.028 of Din's Curse is now available over on the Din's Curse patch page. Changes can be read here. This patch optimizes things better, fixes a couple memory leaks, and fixes a few other minor issues.

"added Greenlight button for Drox"
Please could you remove Steam advert from your very game? I don't like Steam nor spam (it's invading in every game).
You could put a link to Steam in a shortcut that we could put to bin. I don't want to put to bin your game (like I did with many so-independant games needing Steam).
No enjoyment where there's discomfort.

You won't need steam to play the game if the game gets on steam.

That's better than DRM enforced. If Steam DRM is not always enforced now, it is for me and others who resist and don't buy nor use it (I hail GOG): Gabe-queen want to attract us to his Borg hive. You could thank me. Cancel your Steam account, go be free.

You can turn off the greenlight button by changing the build_showGreenlight in Din's Curse/User/build.cfg to 0, although it might turn back on the next patch.

I don't like games forcing Steam on you, so it's hard to imagine us ever doing that in any of our games. We've gotten DoP and DC on Steam, and it's not required for either of those games.

Good, now the game is pleasing clean back.
It should be added for the next patch in Game Options: "No ad' spam" to be ticked, to remove the Greenlight ad'.

But you like forcing free Steam advert. Then why don't you force ad for other publishers? You could add buttons for the players to ask the game elsewhere.
Add the http://www.gog.com/wishlist/games#se...in%27s%20curse link in your game?

I actually don't like it. Steam is so big these days that unless you are a massive hit, Steam is getting more and more necessary to survive as an indie developer.

Yeah, independance is dying, after pc players, devs have less freedom.
PC players make the pc games die: the pc becomes a console.
