![]() This mod serves no purpose other than to add 4 low end food items and 4 low end drink items. It's for fun only, and for those who might like to eat virtual candy canes or ring in the New Year with a virtual bottle of Din's Curse Champagne.
The mod is anglo-american slanted, but that's because I'm an anglo-american ![]() Happy holidays! Where do I get this mod? Attached to this post, and at: https://github.com/downloads/jeremyo...s_20101225.zip How to Install? Drop this into your Din's Curse/Assets folder. If you are using Windows XP and installed the game in the default location, your Assets folder is located at: C:\Program Files\Din's Curse\Assets How to uninstall? Just delete the file from your Assets folder. Note: If your character happens to find one of these items and you stop using this mod, I have no idea what will happen to the item data in your character. Remove at your own risk while your characters are in possession of any Holiday Item. Notes from the readme: Code:
Holiday Items Festive, humorous items for the hack-n-slash RPG Din's Curse by Soldak Entertainment, Inc. http://www.soldak.com/Dins-Curse/ Additional Attributions: * Gaetan Lee at http://flickr.com/photos/43078695@N00/162917663 for: Bubbles background of the champagne Play tested against: * version 1.010 of Din's Curse The purpose of this mod: * Fun. Caveats of this mod: * Once you start using item mods, you need to keep using item mods otherwise Din's Curse will not know what sort of data belongs to the item at load time. Items this mod adds: Food * Candy Canes: plain, grape, "blue flavor," and cinnamon * Other than cosmetics, candy canes are exactly like the standard level 1 through ~12 food items. Drinks * Champagne: Imitation, Rose, Champagne, Blanc de Blancs * Other than cosmetics, champagne bottles are exactly like the standard level 1 through ~13 drink items. How to package and deploy the mod (assuming you don't have the zipped version already): * Package up folders into a zip file, but no other files. DO NOT zip up the _raw folder into the mod. * Name the zip file whatever you want, but make sure that the contained folders are at the root of the zip file. * Place the folder in your Din's Curse/Assets directory. Legalese: I, Jeremy Osborne, assert that to the best of my knowledge, all modifications made herein are within the ground rules stated at: http://www.soldak.com/Dins-Curse/Mods.html Further, to the extent that I have rights within the ground rules, I wave all of my own rights over any modifications I make, and make all of my modifications freely available to owners and users of Soldak Entertainment products and anyone else legally allowed to use Din's Curse modifications. |

![]() I just discovered this in my game files. Has anyone tried it to see if it works and what happens when you delete it?
![]() edit: well I guess no one's used this mod. I discovered that when mod is removed, all holiday items disappear into thin air. Don't know if they are still marked as invisible until the mod is put back. I'll check that at some later date.
