Default trade routes

hmmm,i was just wondering how does the trade the routes work.the mentioned increase per hour means for very hour we play the game both parties taxes will get increased until we hit the %cap of that trade route?if after sometime we cancel the trade route would we get back the initial tax lost of -some crystals when we initiated the trade route.would it get back added back to our tax income?

Well basically a trade route starts costing crystals per tax period. So each tax period you lose some crystals until eventually the trade route reaches profit. Then every tax period you are making extra crystals.

If you cancel a trade route, you don't get any of the crystals that you have lost over that time, but if the trade route was still costing crystals each tax period you would get rid of that cost.

Basically a trade route is a long term thing. If you can get them going for a long time that can provide you a lot of extra crystals. If you can't, they are just going to cost you some crystals. Of course, either way you will make the other covenant happier with you, so there is some benefit of short term trade routes.
