Default World Complete Guidelines

What quests determine whether I save the town? Do I need to do all quests that don't say optional?

Also, I'm confused about "Din's Final Quest"... I have beaten about 7 towns and I have yet to see what this is.

Do any of the "pacing" options effect how fast you complete a world? Like will a larger dungeon make it slower to save the town?

You need to solve everything that is not optional.

Din's Final Quest won't pop up until you have reached a minimum reputation level.

Faster pace and larger dungeons should make it harder to save the town because there are more quests or you have to travel farther to get to them on average.
