Default Zombasite patch 0.906

Patch 0.906 of Zombasite is available over on the Zombasite patch page. Changes can be read here. This patch speeds up the Mac build, fixes more multiplayer crashes, makes NPCs smarter, and fixes a bunch of other minor issues.

Super minor quibble: most resistance potions have a pretty constant color, as long as they target the same element, but the magic resistance potions for +25 and +79 are quite different.

Priests will cast some buffs whenever they see a friendly who lacks them - for example, if a priest with poison resistance sees that you do not have it, he will give it to you.

Other buffs do not seem to work this way. For example, priests will not give bravery even to themselves - they seem to wait until it is needed, and even then they may prioritize wailing the enemy over the head.

Can you make it so that either priests and wizards keep their buffs on whenever possible, or have a dialogue option - "Cast your buffs on me now!"

=============

Recruit priests should not receive the Shield Bash combat skill unless they also have the Shield skill.

If I fire a magic barrage at an enemy with Fire Shield, my character receives considerable damage for every single projectile that lands, even if the enemy is at extreme range. This makes no sense whatsoever. Thorns, Fire Shield, and similar defenses should not hurt people who are using long weapons, let along mages who are far away.

Enemy clan members with Shield of Fire is insta-death for my ranger at high levels... 165% damage reflect, with a 10 minute duration. I agree that it should be triggered by melee only, or have some other sort of counter.

My current character is a defender/magician hybrid. Her defense is extremely high - two thirds of her skill points are spread out in four separate defense skills, and she uses a shield. She can spar even with bosses and barely get hit.

But... when she fires a magic barrage at someone twenty meters away, as the magical projectiles impact, she somehow gets unfailingly hit by the enemy's physical attack, half a dozen times at once, and her defense does not help at all.

It really makes no sense whatsoever, and I am damn glad that I noticed it against a puny elf with an obelisk's Fire Shield and not against someone who could actually do real damage. Still, it nearly killed my character.
