Exclamation Covenant icon thread

I thought of making this thread for some time now and here it is! I am going to tell you to change your covenant's icon to anything you want.

Here is the list of the current covenant icons:

To change to one of these is very easy. Make sure before you begin to make a backup of any files you change, just to be safe.

1. Navigate to your Depths of Peril folder and then into Assets to Textures to Icons to Covenants. If you installed the game without changing any settings then you should follow this: C:\Program Files\Depths Of Peril\Assets\Textures\Icons\Covenants.

2. Alright, see all those pretty files? Notice that they are the names of the covenants? Well all you would need to do to "steal" one of their icons is delete player.txt and player.ctx then make a copy of what covenant's icon you want. For example say you want The Guardians' icon, select TheGuardians.txt hit copy, then hit paste.

3. Now you have a file called "Copy of TheGuardians.txt", just rename it to player.txt and you are good to go! Look at how mad they are that you have their green gauntlet!

Interested in making your own icon? Here is how to do it in photoshop.

1.

Open a new image with 128 x 128 size and transparent background

2.

Draw, paste, create anything you like and when complete hold down the control key and left click on your layer to have the entire image selected.

3.

Click over to the channels tab and hit that little grey box with a white cicrle to create an alpha layer.

4. Save your new image as a Targa or .tga and make sure it saves it as 32 bit or your won't be saving your alpha.

5. Name or rename the image to player.tga and put it in the C:\Program Files\Depths Of Peril\Assets\Textures\Icons\Covenants folder. Make sure player.txt and player.ctx are deleted before starting the game.

6. Start up the game and enjoy your new icon!!!

Here are the icons I have used myself and what name I used for the covenant. If you would like to use any of them let me know and I can send it to you.

A Pack of Fools............... None........... Brain Munchers......... None............... Raven's Nest. (I drew that one myself.)

Good stuff. Fellow Raven.

Looks like this will affect all characters, won't it?

Yes, unfortunately when you replace the player icon it is for all players.
