Din's Champion early access month 11 |
Din's Champion has now been in early access for over 11 months and is currently available on Steam.
As of this post, we've released 41 patches (7 since the last status blog) with 1,603 total changes (356 since the last post), which can be read here. This consists of a ton of small fixes and balance changes, but there have been a bunch of larger changes.
Better graphics: We've improved the lighting. It is now brighter, has richer colors, and is much more consistent. Also background blocks and cut block edges have been improved so they look much better.
Bosses: Bosses are more dangerous than ever. They have new tactics, many monster types now have boss only skills, and they have several new quests they can start.
New quests: There are several new quests: scouts, assassins, poisoned supplies, infestations, ice machines, blight machines, and monsters can even dominate an area so much they bend it to their will.
Optimizations: Many things are now optimized better (general fps, start up, & world building). We've also tracked down and fixed several slowdowns, a few minor memory leaks, and some hitches.
Player movement: Movement is now more responsive.
Towns: You can now find towns full of NPCs in your adventures!
That's it for all of the major new changes, but there are still a lot of changes coming.
