The Ambient Occlusion looks great and the slopes look good too. Happy to see you didn't get carried away with the slopes. In my opinion, 4 shapes is all you need. I'm also glad you decided against world wrapping as I don't particularlly care for it. The only game that uses it in a capacity that makes sense is Starbound. The liquid and gas systems sound amazing, and the gravity and rain sound cool too. NPCs that have AI and actually do things might be a first for a 2D sandbox. 65 different types of runes sounds quite excessive unless you're counting upgrade tiers; Diablo 2 only has 33 and Planet Centauri only has 18. If the game's name is final, then this forum could use a name change. That's all for now. Hopefully, it won't be another year before I post again. |

so from a games which are unique and which nobody is making,to a game which thers hundreds of them, platformer terraria look a like,i mean sure i think all would like to sweet talk every dev ad tell them watever they do is best, but cas of such mentality gaming industry went downhill,so am gona stick to truth,no matter if am only one.

Posts only go into the moderation queue when they haven't had a post approved before to cut down on the spam. So your posts weren't being deleted. They were just waiting for me to notice that they needed to be approved.

We can generalize as much as we want, but I think the game is gonna be as unique as every other Soldak game for sure. |

This is risky. Last time I played a platformer is Rockman. My friend and I do play metal slug tho. Some may like it but most prefer the Din curse type of gameplay. Only time will tell though. I may get it but way to busy for gaming at the moment.

Hi, good luck with this instalment! Looking forward to the EA.
Do you have any contraptions planned? Not as complex as redstone or wires, of course, but some basic traps for example. |

Right now there isn't any, but I'm guessing that eventually you will be able to place traps.

That's cool. I was also wondering, how persistent are the worlds? Does it make sense to build a nice base and decorate it, or is the game more fast-paced, and the players will be quickly moving on to new worlds and start from scratch?

You do move through worlds, but when you win or lose a world and move on to the next, it takes the town you have built with you. Basically when you build houses you need to place a house deed to make it a valid house for NPC purposes. On transition to the new world, it will pull along all blocks and objects that are near all of your house deeds and your lifestone.
