Base game won't work after uninstalling DLC.

I'm a Steam player. I really dislike Orc Schism, hate pretty much everything about it, and turned off the DLC.

But since then, the base game will no longer load. I've tried uninstalling/reinstalling, deleting anything related to the game I can find. No luck.

Is it something to do with the license? Anyone successfully turned off the DLC? What am I missing?

The license/key stuff shouldn't care. My guess would be there is something in the global save game that is expansion specific or part of the expansion directory is still there so it is trying to load the expansion assets.

For the 1st one, remove or rename the directory C:\Users\YOU USER NAME\AppData\Local\Zombasite\User\chars which will get rid of all of your save games including the global ones.

For the 2nd one, go to the Zombasite directory and make sure the Expansions directory doesn't exist.

It's taken care of now.

The problem was the old characters which had been created in the expansion version. Once they were deleted, everything worked fine.
