Default Beta vs official patches
Just a question regarding patches. The patches is classified as either official or beta where the beta has a higher version number and more fixes etc. Would it be safe to say that we should install the beta patch rather than the official one? And are there any consequences of doing so?

I've been playing the Beta patch since the day it was released, and I have had no problems.

Soldak hopes many install the beta patch and report any problems, should they occur, in the forum thread so they can be fixed before a patch is listed as official.

How do I get the latest beta patch on steam or do I just have to manually install 1.042?

You would need to install it manually. The patch should be coming to Steam soon though.
