![]() 1. Chips.
Chips drop a lot less often than components that use chips. Not only that, but practically all chips I have found have been for weapons, and then, mostly for beam weapons. I hear other people have found chips that can go on other components, but I have not. 2. Crew leveling I have been playing sectors which are much higher in level than my ship. i.e I have been generating sectors at level 100. My crew members are not leveling. I have had exactly one level up while I went through ship levels 77 to 81, from seven slotted crew members, with happiness above 95%. It goes without saying, I usually get a lot more level-ups than that. If I remember correctly, crew members are supposed to level up faster if your kills are worth more experience, compared to what it takes to level. My ship has been leveling like crazy, but my crew has fallen behind. Before level 75, I kept all of my 32 crew members at the ship's level. The way I rotate them has not changed, so it must be the level difference. Of course, it may be the RNG hating me, but I would check that the formula for crew leveling does not discriminate against fighting higher level ships. For example, if crew has double the chance to level when killing ship A than when killing ship B, but the ship gets 10 times the experience for A compared to B, your crew members will be five times less likely to level with the ship when killing tougher ships like A than killing the wimpier ships like B.

![]() I've had just the opposite happen on chips. Chalk it up to freaky, streaky luck.

![]() I have not found a single chip in 12+ hours of play. Nor have I seen a single piece of gear with sockets that would be worth using.

![]() On my first play through as Dryad I got a chip instead of a upgraded component when leveling to 2.

![]() 3. Reward chests
I just had to open 9 level 105 reward chests with a level 82 ship. It literally took me 3-4 minutes to do so. Not particularly fun, although a few monsters showed up to give me something to do.

![]() 4. Descriptions of the Ancient Races.
The Hezog are often referenced as the Herzog. The Zarlok description is the same of that of the Hezog, which does not make sense, as they were supposedly bitter enemies. The Zarlok look quite humanoid, but one of the references has them tentacled.

![]() "Drox" is also not capitalized one place in the Hezog's race description.
