I originally made the ore deposits in Din's Champion its own layer so that any kind of ore could be on top of any type of solid block. That works well, but I've expanded it (using slopes) to allow a block to be split into 2 types of blocks, allowing much more design freedom.

I'm down to 106 things on my Din's Champion to-do list before adding many more testers. Last week it was at 191, so I'm definitely making progress.

The last few days in Din's Champion, I've made the quests started and the tactics used by your nemesis and arch-nemesis to be much more monster type specific to make them more unique.

I was not originally going to add shadows to Din's Champion, but I got them working yesterday. The game looks better and more importantly it's easier to distinguish the foreground layer from the background layer.

I'm down to 64 things on my Din's Champion to-do list before adding many more testers. Two weeks ago it was at 106, so we're still making progress despite lots of in house play testing.

My latest main play test character in Din's Champion now has 50+ hours of actual play time so far. My wife's current main character has 100+ hours.

I've finally fixed a bunch of the skills for NPCs in Din's Champion. So now there is actually a reason to recruit NPCs to your town (they provide crafting bonuses, create some items, etc).

It's always strange in game development when you change something just for testing purposes and you end up liking it better that way.

I changed the world generation in Din's Champion to take advantage of the slopes and overlay systems. I thought it would make the blending between areas of different blocks types look better. It works better than I expected.
