I tracked down and fixed a lighting bug in Din's Champion today that only shows up in the release build when not under a debugger. This is usually just something that's not initialized correctly, but they are a pain to find.

So I changed the little critters in Din's Champion to monsters so they could run around correctly, gravity would affect them, they could take damage, etc. I have already fixed it, but one of the immediate side effects was they could now jump about 5 feet into the air.

Sometimes I run into strange interactions that I have to decide whether or not to fix. Today in Din's Champion I pulled a lever and a sequence of tufts of grass exploded getting closer and closer to me. Beware the exploding grass!

In recent playtesting, I hear a "Help me!" in the distance. I run over and there is an NPC swatting at a tiny spider with her staff.

Right now in Din's Champion, NPCs try to kill the little critters (spiders, bats, etc). They get a happiness bonus when they are successful, sometimes they set off the town alarm, and loot even drops. None of this is intended and will probably be changed, it's amusing though.
