We finally officially announced Drox Operative 2 today! Drox Operative 2 is a starship action RPG with warring alien races, fierce space battles, a dynamic, evolving galaxy, and co-op multiplayer for Windows and Linux.

Congrats Shadow! Looks good. Are you planning on running EA only on Steam, or will there be a DRM Free EA version on your website with an optional Steam Key?

big UP team! insta-buy

Please do balance the universe for higher levels...especially planet survival etc.

The universe is really silly after lvl 80 for me: monsters just pwn everyone and planets are glassed at will and constantly dying of 18 disasters a second

I'm not sure yet if there will be anything more than Steam for EA.

One of things I'm testing out currently is not letting monsters attack planets. It makes planets grow more normally, but anything you put in orbit is in danger.

You can see it here.

I don't think that'll help that much with the problem he's experiencing: the monsters follow their growth curve, including getting the multipliers at the difficulty boundaries, but the NPCs don't (as far as I remember), and get weaker and weaker relative to the monsters. I think NPCs should probably get the same difficulty bonuses.

Guess what I mean is: i would like a scaled experience at the high levels in which the universe has lots more ways to kill or die but the good guys still have a fighting chance (but lose unless Mr. Drox Operative comes to save the day)

The ships should, but the planets probably do not. I'll make sure they both of them do.
