This is one of those days where for every task, I find another task (usually a bug) that needs to be dealt with first and soon enough I'm not in sight of my original task. At least in the end, I fixed some bugs and did make some progress on world generation.

I'm now generating much more interesting worlds for the next game. It now has varied terrain (type and height), clumps of minerals (just stone right now), and lots of caves.

The other day it started storming in our next game; it looked cool. Then the lightning started and obliterated every monster on the screen in seconds. Now that the ground is basically a line instead of a 2d plane, I'm going to need to rebalance the lightning a bit.

I've been working on some lighting stuff the last couple days for the next game. It's complicated because things are 3d, have normal mapping, and light needs to be able to bleed through walls a little.
