Questions about "rare situations"

Hello, I play the gmae for 3 years now and sometimes the town is under "Siege Attack", or a single "scout" attacks the town.

But sometimes a whole army attacks a random house, including a warp gate.

but the situations are very rare. Is there a way to influence this situations, because i really love it to defend the town.

Or is all just random?

There is definitely some randomness in it, but generally monsters will only attack the town due to an outstanding quest being around for too long.

But what kind of quests? If there is a meating between two unique guys or something?

A bunch of quests can lead to town attacks: bosses, unique monsters, monster groups, uprisings, renegades, scouts, etc.
