I'm working on kind of an experiment this week to see if I can split the player's model skeleton and draw torso and leg animations separately. This way I can animate running and attacking smoothly at the same time.

While working on the split skeleton stuff this week, I fixed an attachment bug that has probably been in the code base for at least 15 years. Sigh.

One of the funniest bugs right now in our next game is that currently gravity stops working on the player when they die. So if a Torva Shaman kills you in the middle of a jump with a firebolt, you die and then just hang there in the air.

I've already topped my no gravity during death bug. For a little while when resurrecting, your legs played dead and your torso played the idle animation.

There are so many weird little things I need to fix in the next game, like rain keeps putting out my torches that are inside a house.

Now that doors, torches, and various blocks are placeable, you can now build basic houses in the next game. Next up, deeds and NPCs to move into those houses.

Sometimes the interesting interactions in our games even catch me off guard. Today I added some new code to allow monsters to destroy player placed doors. So I tested it: a Torva decided there was a door in the way, set it as an enemy, walked up to it, and opened the door.
