I'm rewriting how major mutations work in the next game today. I think the new way will simplify a lot of things and will be much more fun.

Due to some recent additions, my debug builds on the next game were taking around 4 1/2 minutes to load. On Friday, I got that down to 1 minute (release build is like 6 seconds).

I've added knockback to certain skills and all explosions for the next game. It's fun to blow up a fireball in the middle of a group of enemies and watch them get pushed by the explosion.

Have you given much thought to a new engine, or are you going to keep iterating on this one for the foreseeable future?
Also, what are your favorite recent non-soldak games? Do you work on your games full time or do you do other work to supplement Soldak?

Working on tax stuff today. Some of the taxes we have to do early each year: payroll taxes (941), W3 & W2s, 1096 & 1099 forms, state unemployment (C-3), federal unemployment (940), company income taxes (1120S), and personal taxes.
