I finished up all my tax responsibilities for January and February today, now I can get back to working on games again.

Good job doing all that financial stuff. I can never force myself to do it until I absolutely have to.

Part of it is that I'm worried that I'm going to owe a bunch of money this year, so I'm trying to get to the point where I can do my taxes. At least that way I will know what the damage is going to be.

I got more of the subrace stuff finished today in Drox Operative. I think it's cool enough that I might blog about it soon.

I still think that Drox Operative is the biggest, most ambitious game Soldak has worked on

I like to extrapolate.

On January 18:

So 13 days to do 200 items, minus, say, 3 days for taxes, gives us 40 days to finish the list.

(Assuming all of the lines are equally difficult, and you do things at the same rate as you have been, and you get no new bugs, and nothing happens in Real Life to throw you a curve, and all sorts of other things which contribute to the difference between theory and practice.)

And no, I don't expect you to hold to that. I just like calculating things.

if you multiply 40 days for a factor of 3 (Murphy law), in 120 days Drox will be ready, fair enough for me, 4 months and a great game will be ready!
