Did you say somewhere that the UI is getting a rework in the expansion too, or maybe in the new game, or both? If so, I was wondering if there was any preview of that on the horizon.

I've got an idea for a new skill or consumable item:
Divine Blood--even a drop of a god's blood contains absolute power, drinking it carries a steep price
every 30 seconds it gives you a status effect
____+30% strength
____-15% combat experience
____30 health damage every 10 seconds
these status effects stack and don't wear off so after 2 minutes you will have four of them and be at +120% strength, -60% experience, and recieves 120 points of damage every 10 seconds.

The idea behind it is a last resort powerup that will kill you. It may need something like a 4 second stun whenever you recieve each status effect, or to adjust the numbers a bit. Maybe the damage it causes could be fire or lightning to allow characters with resistance to last longer.

About the Mad Scientist class, I realize it doesn't really fit the theme of a fantasy apocalypse, but more importantly, it just isn't different enough from the existing conjurer class. Instead, think of this guy as Tony Stark from the Iron Man movies. He fumbled an alien artifact and now he's stuck here. His science also needs more madness:
replace the archon's flamethrower with a liquid nitrogen gun to freeze enemies (Deep Freeze)
robots need to explode when they are killed
Primus needs to be giant-sized instead of person-sized
Primus Artillery Mode needs to replace it's flamethrower with a high-damage slow-reloading Cannon
Primus Assault Mode is a giant robot, Artillery Mode is a slow-moving robot dog, Support Mode is a floating metal ball (think of AD&D's beholders)
change the big bomb to do lightning damage
replace the avatar's retaliation skill with a teleport skill
because he's an outsider, he also needs a base skill to increase the insanity and decrease the happiness of clan members

skill tree idea
Pupeteer--This guy makes puppets that dance to his will.
He starts with making small Puppets that can fly, have a weak attack, but are fast and agile (like fairies). Next he gains a Soldier, a half-sized puppet that has a sword and shield and is a decent fighter. Thirdly is the Mannikin(?) that is person-sized, appears to wears armor, and is a good fighter with skills and two-handed weapons. Lastly is the Golem, 25% bigger than a person and much tougher. Except for the Golem, the creations should all take extra damage from fire attacks, give each of those skills a 3/5/10 minute cooldowns, and no limit on the maximum number of them that he can use at once (limit 1 Golem).

He then needs four buffing skills for his army. Craftsmanship is a passive skill that increases dexterity and vitality for all his creations. Spirit Link increases their movement speed and defense (if you decide to limit the number usable at one time, then this should also increase that limit). Magical Heart increases strength and vitality. Living Soul increases all attributes but can only be done one at a time, has a 10 minute cooldown, and has a large cost in mana and health.

Finally he needs two skills for attack and defense. Entangle causes roots to emerge from the ground to stop emenies from moving for 10 seconds. Viper's Needle is where he throws a poisoned needle.

I have not changed much on the UI, anything in particular you would like to see?

I think it's a must have.

I saw that post. What specifically do you like about the mod?

Everything from the mod is better than vanilla, in my opinion (minus maybe the cheat with 20 bag slots)

My comments, from the Features list :

- Larger Minimap (my old mod now with a new hand made border texture)

Not so usefull, as the map is so ugly anyway, but still better than vanilla.

- Merged the equipment and character stats menu, and moved the new menu to the right
- Condensed Clan Info screen
- New smaller Amarante font, so more information can be displayed in a smaller space
- Different colors for Rare and Very Rare Items
- the new hotbar configuration with the right click slots brought from the right side of the screen, the teleportation stone from the left and the food, money and bag space moved to the upper left
- Many more buttons and other widgets were moved around, and smaller changers were made, but all the information is still there, except for the clan members list on the Clan Info Menu, I'm thinking in recreate the list on the advanced clan info menu.

All together, give a very nice, cleaner, easier, feel to the GUI

I improved the world map/minimap today for the Zombasite expansion, but I think I'm going to sneak it into the next patch instead.

In the next Zombasite patch, there will be several UI improvements.

Crafting items will get some more uses in the Zombasite expansion like improving gems, fixing doors, and resurrecting guards.

How I approached this thread today:

"Surely he's running out of ideas by now."
*sigh*
"Time to check the thread and see what he put. But, he probably added something obvious like an option to reduce blood splatter."
*sigh*

> Clicks and opens thread.
> "improving gems"

Wat.

Thanks for these teasers! I love checking the forums daily for them.
