In our next game, you can now put a deed on the wall and it figures out if there is a valid house there or not. Hopefully soon I will have NPCs be able to move in and claim houses.

In our next game, I can now build houses, add deeds to them, ask NPCs to join the town, and there needs to be a free house/deed for each NPC.

Today I was trying to figure out why an NPC was running around inside his house for no apparent reason and I finally found out he was running away from the tiny ambient creatures that wander around.

So.... Shadow.
I know you don't want to 'copy' or 'clone' other games and I am not advocating that.... But, a game called Realms of Magic came out on steam that is, well, really quite popular and has a 2D RPG design that I adore ohhhhh so much. I honestly think (as usual, because u da man) that your game has the potential to be far better and recommend you check it out. Also, screenshots when? (I keep trying to imagine your tweets and its hard to visualize! Some early pre-alpha shots would be AMAZING, though of course, up to you as always) |

Looks interesting. I'll check it out.
I'm not sure when screenshots might happen.

Personally, I wound up doing a Necromancer run and enjoyed the overpowered-ness of having a bunch of summons out killing things for me. Then, as my skills went up, I was able to get a bunch of cooler potions and various other items to get stronger. Watching my army of summons clobber enemies was a lot of fun. As many people have said in the game's reviews, the game's animations and combat aren't really its highlights. But, a few things that I think people might overlook are that the art is actually quite extensive and overall pretty good looking. There are tons of assets in the game and its obvious a lot of time was spent making every area unique. And then there is the story and abundance of side quests to complete to experience all of that content in. I'm also a sucker for heavy-fantasy RPG game-settings in general too, which is no secret (<3 Din's Legacy). Overall, the game is a labor of love. And, if you can overlook some of its flaws, I think there is a lot to enjoy. It's definitely a hit-or-miss type of title for different kinds of players, and for me, it was a hit. |

I have a testing cheat that makes NPCs do activities constantly instead of every once in a while. It is kind of fun just watching them run around, talk to one another, argue, and get in fights.

Today I made the house deed system much smarter about whether a house is still good and who resides in that house.
